My students have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the Poetry Friday host and learning from the Poem Farm. Students were also excited to see the link to this page! To know that people all over the world can read their poems. I hope you enjoy reading their poems again this week. Please leave a comment for us to view.
The Difference between Love and Germs By Katerina "What is the difference between love and germs?" I asked Lucy "Love doesn't make you sick and germs do," she said but that couldn't be it I thought, "What is the difference between love and germs?" I asked Trevor "Love you can see in your mind, germs you feel," he said but that's definitely not it I thought. So I asked Lena, "What is the difference between love and germs?" "Love is good, germs are bad," she said. But that's just not it I thought So when my mom picked me up I calmly asked "What is the difference between love and germs?" Love you want to spread, germs your don't.

By Anna The feeling you feel when you see that person you like it warms your heart it's like you get in a warm tub You stammer and blush when you see them you do not know what your saying you like them He comes over he starts to talk Your love contributes

Oh my goodness! What an absolute delight to find all of you poets joining us for Poetry Friday! Thank you for sharing your words with us. I can see myself, my children, friends, and strangers in your lines. It is amazing how poetry can help us explore all sides of ourselves, from the most funny to the most serious, and how we can play with language in all kinds of ways with poems...repetition, metaphor, surprise endings...all! I am wondering if your class might make a book one day...and I am also wondering if one day you might wish to share your poems at The Poem Farm. It would be my honor to host you. Peace, Amy xo

Thank you so much. We love your poems and you should come to Spring Creek and visit us someday. We would love for you to come to our school and write a new poem so we can be inspired to make a new poem.
