I love to teach! Children inspire me to keep learning.
I teach 3rd grade English Language Arts and Social Studies at River Bend Elementary. I believe that all children can learn and need a loving, supportive environment where they can be challenged. I believe all children learn differently and like to provide them with differentiated instruction for them to learn in a way that best meets their needs.
I am married to Jeff for 27 years now! That is a long time! We have lived in Houston, Pearland, Atlanta, College Station, and now Bryan. We have had many jobs too. I was a teacher of 1st and 2nd graders in both private and public schools, a stay at home mom with our sweet daughters (Rachael and Madeline), an entrepreneur (CEO, CFO, Sales Associate, Marketing Manager, Toilet Scrubber, etc) for Scrapbook Country. I came back to teaching, when Jeff and I closed the store, as an assistant in Special Education at Rock Prairie Elementary. Then moved into a position at Greens Prairie Elementary as the teacher in Resource/Special Education. I fell in love with 4th grade writing. I spent 4 years as a 4th grade classroom teacher.
And now I have opened another new school, River Bend Elementary, and am teaching 3rd grade.
Jeff went through his share of jobs in healthcare administration and running the scrapbook store, but finally recognized a call into full time ministry. He is the pastor at St. Luke's United Methodist in Bryan.
Our daughter, Rachael, is a senior at University of North Texas and studying art history with a minor in Spanish. Madeline graduated from Texas A&M University studying economics with a business minor. She is working for Travelers Insurance and living in Hartford, Connecticut.
